Jamnagar district education authorities attributed this change to the “additional hard work” put in by teachers and principals for this result.

“While principals of government schools have been regularly holding meetings with parents to apprise them of their wards’ performance, it is their hard work on every child that has resulted in an improved quality of education in the district,” District Education Officer (DEO) Jamnagar Vipul Mehta told The Indian Express.

From 69.65% overall pass percentage in Class 10 in 2023, Jamnagar recorded 85.55% result this year — an increase from 82.31% in 2024.
In Jamnagar district, the number of schools with 100% results also increased from 24 to 41. Bharuch reported a jump of 27 schools followed by Kutch with 18 schools within a year.

On the other hand, Vadodara, Panchmahal and Ahmedabad Rural recorded a decline in the number of schools with 100% results. From last year’s 73, the number of schools with 100% results dropped to 63 in Ahmedabad Rural. It depends on the batch of students, DEO, Ahmedabad Rural, Krupa Jha told The Indian Express. “The result of the students is between 80-100% as against two years back when it was in the range of 50-60%. Various innovative measures were taken for students in order to improve their learning levels,” Jha added.
