Ramsinh won all the 13 seats including one individual shareholder seat in the dairy elections, which took place on August 6.

The elections had become a prestige issue for the BJP as well as the Congress, with the two political parties fielding their senior leaders to garner the support of voters. The BJP had MLAs and former MPs camping in the Circuit House for the last 15 days, while the Congress had Anand MP Bharatsinh Solanki overlooking the elections. Candidates from the Congress’ Vikas panel led by Ramsinh won all the seats in the elections.

KDMCUL,better known as Amul Dairy is the oldest and the most prestigious dairy. It was from here that the White Revolution took off in the country. The success of Amul Diary led to the creation of other District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union.
