Placement for agri-business management programme ends

The placement process for the IIM’s Agri-Business Management Programme ended today with the average package offered standing at Rs 9.65 lakh,roughly a 14 per cent increase over last year’s figure.

The placement process for the IIM’s Agri-Business Management Programme ended today with the average package offered standing at Rs 9.65 lakh,roughly a 14 per cent increase over last year’s figure.

This year,students have received 25 offers from 19 companies,said an institute release.

Regular companies like Harrison Malayalam Limited (RPG group),ITC Ltd,Britannia,Amazon Agro and Godrej Agrovet recruited this year as well,and new recruiters like IFMR Capital,Microlabs,and Technopak offered roles at both the lateral level and for freshers.

“The PGP ABM students at IIM-A come from a variety of related domains like agriculture engineering,dairy technology,food technology,veterinary science and so on. The variety of roles on offer allowed students to select a career of their choice,” the release quoted placements chairperson Professor Saral Mukherjee.
