No takers for Surat city bus service

The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has issued tenders for seven consecutive times for city bus services,but not a single agency has shown interest in it. The SMC had started the city bus services in 2007 and the contract had been given to Mahendra Sons and Barmecha travels for five years. Three days ago,the SMC had floated a new tender for the seventh consecutive time with certain corrections,which include 10 buses of 60 seats each and remaining with 40 seats each.
