Nirma fee hike: Students continue stir

Agitating students of the first and second years at the Institute of Technology,Nirma University,boycotted classes for the third consecutive day on Wednesday even as the university management held a meeting with their parents over the hike in tuition fee. University executive registrar D P Chhaya said they explained to the parents the reasons for increasing the annual fee. He ruled out the possibility of rolling back the hike. He said that to ensure that the parents did not feel much of the financial burden,the university has allowed them to deposit the arrears in as many installments as convenient to them.
