Nearly 3.44 lakh students appear for board exams

Nearly 3.44 lakh students from Saurashtra-Kutch appeared for the Class X and XII examinations conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.

Nearly 3.44 lakh students from Saurashtra-Kutch appeared for the Class X and XII examinations conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB).

The students were given a warm welcome at the examination centres with sweets and tilaks in an effort to present a tension-free atmosphere.

The students were called half an hour prior to the scheduled time for the welcome ceremony at the respective centres.

To prevent cases of copying,this time,the Education Department has also reshuffled school staff to a large extent.

In Rajkot district,55,957 students are taking the Class X exam and 34,219 students are taking the Class XII examination. Centres like Dhoraji,Jamkandorna,Gondal and Morbi have been declared sensitive for the Class XII examination.

Gondal,Morbi,Vinchiya and Porbandar have been declared sensitive for the Class X exams.
