Mayur Chavda is new Crime Branch DCP

After the arrest of Abhay Chudasama,the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner has given the additional charge of DCP Crime to ACP (Crime) Mayur Chavda.

After the arrest of Abhay Chudasama,the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner has given the additional charge of DCP Crime to ACP (Crime) Mayur Chavda.

DCP (HQ) D H Parmar confirmed that Chavda would be also handling the DCP’s post at the Crime Branch.

The additional charge of the post of JCP (Crime) has been given to JCP Satish Sharma,who is Zone- I JCP of Ahmedabad Police. The additional charge would be handled by both the IPS officers until the new postings at the Crime Branch are announced. The JCP’s post was lying vacant after JCP (Crime) Ashish Bhatia was promoted as Range IG of Ahmedabad.
