KLN Rao appointed DGP CID (Crime and Railways)

The Gujarat government on Tuesday appointed 1992-batch IPS officer Dr K Laxmi Narayan Rao to the ex-cadre post of the Director General of Police (DGP), Crime Investigation Department (Crime and Railways) of Gujarat Police.

Rao, currently posted as DGP, Prisons and Correctional Administration has succeeded DGP Manoj Agarwal who superannuated on September 30. Agarwal was appointed to the post of DGP, CID (Crime and Railways) on August 18 and held it for over a month. Rao will hold the additional charge of the post of DGP, Prisons and Correctional Administration.
