Mathur, who was CID chief when it was probing the fake encounter, reportedly told CBI that Johri never kept him in the loop about her suspicions and alleged role of Padheria in Jadejas retraction. According to Mathurs statements to the CBI,the issue had reached the then Principal Secretary (Home),who asked Johri and Padheria to resolve it on their own. Mathur also denied that DIG Rajnish Rai,who supervised the case later, had given him any CD containing the phone records of certain officers related to the case. Rai was the one who had arrested D G Vanzara and other IPS officers for their role in Sohrabuddins encounter.
