JNNURM projects for AMC

The municipal corporation standing committee has approved three proposals,empowering the commissioner to take necessary action to forward the proposals to the JNNURM directorate via the state government. This includes a controversial proposal of 24×7 water supply in four civic zones,all in the western parts. The committee also approved submission of a BRTS expansion project in the third phase,involving expenditure of Rs 353.19 crore to lay corridor length of 26.80 km. The third proposal is for construction of four flyover bridges. The cost of laying this corridor amounts to Rs 13.17 crore per km,which the Congress has opposed because of his budget. The Opposiotn maintained that at least five-km long corridor road could be laid at the cost of Rs 13.17 crore.
