The Gujarat government has successfully registered 15,05,192 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, he said, adding that a total of 1,72,923 beneficiaries have been provided skill training covering 18 traditional professions through 295 training centres.
Two non-government resolutions — one on the Constitution and another on Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana — were unanimously passed in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
While speaking on the resolution brought by BJP MLA Kiritsinh Dabhi from Dholka constituency on the Indian Constitution, Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel said that at the time of framing the Constitution, Congress could not get out of its colonial mindset.
“At the time of framing the Constitution of India, the question arose about who would frame it. Pandit Nehru suggested the names of two foreign constitutional experts, while Gandhiji suggested the name of Dr B R Ambedkar,” the Health Minister said.
“All the constitutional amendments made by the Congress so far have not been in the interest of the country but for them to remain in power. The changes they made were only to maintain power and remain in power. If the Congress does not come out of its mindset, they will not be able to save democracy,” Patel said.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Small and Medium Enterprises, Jagdish Vishwakarma told the Gujarat Assembly that registration of sarpanch has been completed in all 14,287 Gram Panchayats in the state.
The Gujarat government has successfully registered 15,05,192 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, he said, adding that a total of 1,72,923 beneficiaries have been provided skill training covering 18 traditional professions through 295 training centres.
Gujarat has secured the fourth position nationally in providing skill training, he highlighted.
The resolution on Constitution stated, “In the true sense, our Constitution is our self-respect and the self-respect of every citizen of India. Today, ‘Sauno Sath Sauno Vikas’ (Together with all, development for all) has become possible through the Constitution. ‘Sauno Prayas (Everybody’s efforts)’ are also necessary to realise the resolve of a developed India. Through which, this assembly requests the state Government to take encouraging steps to protect the sanctity of the Constitution and continuously advance the development journey of every citizen through the Constitution and to make India a developed nation by the year 2047 and to take forward the campaign of ‘Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Swabhiman’.”
BJP MLA Pravinbhai Ghoghari from Karanj constituency, proposed the non-government resolution on PM Vishwakarma Yojana. “Under this scheme, a total of 37,785 beneficiaries have been approved for loans worth Rs 341 crore in Gujarat. Out of this, Rs 225 crore has been distributed to 25,762 beneficiaries. Gujarat has secured the third place at the national level in both loan approval and distribution. PM Vishwakarma Yojana is providing economic upliftment in the lives of traditional artisans,” he said.
