Flight operations resume at seven Gujarat airports, including Rajkot and Bhuj
Other airports in the state where services have resumed are Kandla, Mundra, Keshod (Junagadh), Porbandar and Jamnagar.

All seven airports in Gujarat, where civilian flight operations had been suspended in light of India-Pakistan tensions, were opened for services on Monday. These seven airports in Gujarat were among a total of 32 in the country that had been affected by the conflict. Originally, these airports, where civilian flights were suspended between May 7 and 9, were supposed to remain in status quo till May 15.
In a statement Monday, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said, “In view of evolving circumstances and dynamic airspace conditions, commercial flights were temporarily suspended at 32 airports until 5.29 am of May 15, 2025. These airports are now fully operational for civil aircraft movements with immediate effect. Passengers scheduled to travel via these airports are advised to check with their respective airlines to stay updated.”
The biggest of the seven airports in Gujarat that had been affected was the international airport at Hirasar in Rajkot, while the maximum number of airports — three — were affected in the single border district of Kutch, including those at Kandla, Mundra and Bhuj.
Other airports where the operations have resumed are Keshod (Junagadh), Porbandar and Jamnagar.
Notably, the biggest airport in Gujarat, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, had remained unaffected by the closures.
