Godhra: Boy missing from children’s home, kidnap case filed
According to the complaint filed by Pushpendra Solanki, in charge of the children’s home, on Sunday around 8 pm after dinner, Aamir Hemant went to the washing area to clean his plate and did not return.

The Godhra police on Monday registered a case of kidnapping against unknown persons after a 12-year-old boy went missing from the Children’s Home for Boys in Godhra.
According to the complaint filed by Pushpendra Solanki, in charge of the children’s home, on Sunday around 8 pm after dinner, Aamir Hemant went to the washing area to clean his plate and did not return.
An extensive search was initiated by the staff members in localities nearby, including railway station and bus stand, but in vain. Later they informed the police. The centre has nine staff members, including the warden and security guards. Aamir was brought to the centre on November 1 by the Godhra railway police and child helpline after he was found wandering around the platform alone.
Since the missing child is a minor, a case under IPC section 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) has been registered at the Godhra A division police station. “We have circulated his photograph across police stations and are looking for him. The possibility of him being kidnapped is minimal. We are suspecting that he left on his own will. But we are yet to trace him. The centre does not have any details about his family or native place. The warden informed that he never shared any details with them. We are not even sure how he came to the railway station where he was found by the railway police,” said investigating officer, HC Rathwa.
