GLS University set to offer bachelor’s degree courses of Leeds Beckett University

The partnership will not only help in reducing financial burden on students but also ensure that they are familiar with LBU’s curriculum and teaching methodology before they transition to studying in the UK, GLS officials said.

GLS University’s president Sudhir Nanavati said: “Against around 15,000 UK pounds, which is over Rs 15 lakh, students will pay only Rs 3.5 lakh in the first year. Also, students, especially women, will get familiar with the college or university environment right here in Ahmedabad after Class XII before going to the UK campus.”

“By being taught by trained faculty members, students will be better prepared to navigate the education system at LBU. Also, to make students adapt easily to their enviornment from second year, English classes will be held for them as their accent is very different from ours,” he added.

The agreement between the two universities is also slated to be aligned with the National Education Policy’s objective of  “internationalisation”, which facilitates research and teaching collaborations and faculty and student exchanges with high-quality foreign institutions.
