Four injured in loot attempt at Dahod village

Four people sustained injuries during a loot attempt in Jhalod taluka of Dahod district in the early hours of Monday.

Four people sustained injuries during a loot attempt in Jhalod taluka of Dahod district in the early hours of Monday.

The incident occurred at Garadu village when six unidentified attackers broke into the house of one Sukramsinh Damor and beat him up and his wife Pramila.

When neighbours rushed to help,the miscreants opened fire with their country-made firearms,the Jhalod police said.

Laxman Bhuria and Kunjabhai Damor sustained gunshot wounds on the knee and the right eyebrow respectively. Sorsinh Katara was attacked with a sword and was injured on his left hand. Another person,Namji Bhuria too was wounded,the police said.

The four have been admitted to the Dahod dispensary for treatment. Sukramsinh and his wife sustained minor injuries,the police said.

A complaint has been registered against the six unknown miscreants. Further investigations are on.
