Forester assaulted,cops suspect affair with local woman behind attack

The police said Posli’s relatives arrived at the place and found her in Parmar’s room. They accused Parmar of having an illicit relation with Posli and assaulted him with sticks and fled from the spot.

A severely injured Parmar was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Ahwa where his condition is stated to be out of danger. The Vaghai police have lodged a complaint against Bhupat Gamit,Shanker Gamit,Subhash Gamit,Jagdish Gamit and Pankaj Gamit,all residents of Bheskhatri village,in connection with the assault.

Sources said Posli’s husband Pandav was working as a beat guard in Parmar’s range. He died a few years ago,leaving behind his wife and two unmarried daughters.

Incidentally,Posli’s daughter Alka (20) had handed over an application to the Vaghai police station

two days ago,alleging that Parmar called her mother regularly.

Ahwa Circle Inspector Sunil Patil said: “We suspect that some illicit relationship might have led to the incident. We are carrying out investigations and searching for the assailants.”
