Five held for abducting Kheda MLA’s son

The Anand police have arrested five youths for kidnapping the son of BJP MLA Devusinh Chauhan from Matar taluka of Anand district on Saturday. Two separate complaints had been registered late on Friday for kidnapping Yudhisthir,son of MLA Chauhan,and his friend Mihir Rai,said police.

On Thursday,Yudhisthir and Mihir,both students of Vidyanagar Engineering College,were picked up by their classmates Imran Jitu Mahida,Amit Yadav,Darshan Patel,Ketan Jadav and one Sanju,whose full name is not known yet.

The police said the two boys were locked up in the hostel while ransom calls were made.

After the complaints were lodged,the police rescued the boys.
