It was a choice between a stable and coalition government that countrys leading economists made during an event at Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A),where they voiced their personal choice of attributes they sought in the next government that will come to power after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
I hope a stable and decisive government comes to power, said C Rangarajan,chairman of Prime Ministers Economic Advisory Council,while answering to questions posed by B-school students at IIM-As annual business summit,Confluence. However,Ajit Ranade,a political analyst,currently serving as the president and chief economist of the Aditya Birla Group,said,If the Congress comes to power,they would have learnt the wrong lessons of populism. If the BJP comes to power,then they will be embolden to follow a certain social agenda, Rande said explained that he preferred a coalition government.
