Exhibition on Ananta artisans

An exhibition of photographs and works of Ananta artisans will be held at the Kanoria Centre for Arts in Ahmedabad on Friday,March 19.

An exhibition of photographs and works of Ananta artisans will be held at the Kanoria Centre for Arts in Ahmedabad on Friday,March 19.

This time,selected works will be available for sale too.

Dubbed the “Peacock Sportive”,it will be a collection of full-white garments keeping with the upcoming summer.

The exhibition has been jointly associated by the Alliance Francaise,SEWA and Kanoria Centre for the Arts. A film titled “Ananta: The Flamboyant Stitch” will also be screened at the event.

Besides,Alliance Francaise will also organise two exhibitions — a photography exhibition and one on “modern and old language: French by young exhibition.”

The photography exhibition will feature the works of Frenchman Nicolas Chorier,who is known for his unique approach to aerial photography using kites.

The second exhibition will include an “open stage” and host collages,paintings,poetry and theatre.
