Ex-CJI Gogoi among guests, Surat Lit Fest to kick off tomorrow

Sources said over 65 dignitaries from 16 different fields such as politics, law, journalism, Bollywood, science and academia have confirmed that they would attend the three-day event.

Gopal Goswami, one of the organisers, said, “For this year, we have given the festival the name ‘Bharat@2047’. Ex-ISRO chairman Dr A S Kiran Kumar will remain present along with state Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi and Lieutenant General N S Raja Subramani besides religious leaders and other dignitaries.”

Sources said that on the first day of the event, Lt Gen Subramani and journalist Smita Prakash will deliver a speech on national security. In the afternoon, Lt General (retired) L Nishikanta Singh, Shamika Ravi (advisor to PM office), and Sushant Sareen (Senior fellow, Observer Research Foundation) will speak on foreign policy. Later in the day, discussions on “Mahila Shakti” and “Re-establishing Vedic Dharma – Challenges and Solutions” will take place.
