Class-IX student rapes classmate,gets her pregnant

A rape complaint has been filed against the 18-year-old boy on charges of raping the 15-year-old. The news of the incident came to the fore only after the girl’s father approached the District Superintendent of Police to file a complaint against teenage boy,who lives in the same neighbourhood. According to the father,local cops had refused to file a report.

According to police sources,the boy,who is a ninth grader,used to visit the house of the girl,who was her classmate. They would often exchange books. One day,the boy found the girl alone at home and raped her.

According to sources,the boy promised to marry her and used that as an excuse to continue sexual relationship with the girl.

A few days ago,the girl had to be taken to a nearby primary health care centre,after she complained of severe stomach ache. After examining her,doctors detected that she was four months pregnant. The girl later disclosed the name of the boy,sources said.

The girl’s parents had reportedly approached the Kaprada police station to lodge a complaint,but the police had “did not give a proper response”. Later they contacted a lawyer and through him,they appeared before Valsad District Superintendent of Police Nipurna Torwane. On her direction,a complaint was registered. On Saturday,the girl was taken to a government hospital for medical examination.

Kaprada Sub-Inspector D G Tadvi said: “The girl’s parents had not contacted us earlier. They might have come across some cops who had not given proper response. We have started inquiry into this matter and will take strict action against any policeman found guilty of neglecting the matter.

“The girl and boy studied in the same class,in the same school. They had been friends. The accused is currently absconding.”
