Civic body cuts proposed hike in fire NOC charges

AMC standing committee on Thursday slashed the proposed sharp hike in inspection charges of Fire and Emergency Service as suggested by the municipal commissioner by 20%.

The new rates (with original proposal in the brackets) are as follows: Rs 4,000 (Rs 5,000) for up to 30 m of height; Rs 8,000 (Rs 10,000) for 30-40 m of height; Rs 12,000 (Rs 15,000) for 40-50 m of height,Rs 15,000 (Rs 30,000) for 50-60 m of height; and Rs 25,000 (Rs 50,000) for 60-70 m of height.
