CEPT University: Honorary doctorates for noted urban planner Bertaud and architect Benninger

His extensive career at the World Bank and later as a consultant allowed him to work with cities across the world. (Representational Image)CEPT University will bestow two honorary doctorates at its forthcoming convocation on January 20 to noted urban planner Alain Bertaud and eminent architect Christopher Charles Benninger. This is the first time that CEPT University is bestowing honorary doctorates.
While Bertaud will be bestowed with a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Planning, Benninger is set to be honoured with a Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture. The process was instituted by the university’s governing body during its meeting on September 11 last year.
Congratulating both, Bimal Patel, President of CEPT University, in a statement, said that “awarding the Honorary Degree of Doctorate of Philosophy is the highest honour that CEPT University can bestow upon any person”.
