The city Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) officers on Sunday arrested two more wanted accused in Mayur Thakor death case.

The duo have been identified as Bhalaji Thakor alais Lala and Devchand alias Mishra alias Mishraji, both from Patan district. Bhalaji is a driver in Patan while Devchand is one of the fun fair organisers.

The DCB officials said both were absconding after the police had arrested the fun fair organiser Kunal Bhatt on Saturday and his aides Altaf Hassan,Sattar Khan and one Prakash on Friday. Kunal’s friend Shafique, who drove the motorbike on which Mayur’s body was taken to Koba circle,is still wanted in the case.

According to DCB,Kunal and Shafique are the two masterminds who decided to dispose of Kunal’s body after the nine-year-boy died in their fun fair at Naroda due to electrocution on June 24.

The duo had first driven his body on a bike to Koba and later Mishraji and Lala came in a car to take the body to Banaskantha for disposal.

The boy’s body was found in a decomposed state from Chitrasani out post on Panlanpur Highway on June 29.
