Ahmedabad student’s murder: MLA urges people to hold peaceful protests
The 15-year-old boy was stabbed by another student just outside school on Tuesday

The family and community members on Saturday held a prayer meeting for the Class 10 student who was allegedly murdered by another student just outside their ICSE school in Ahmedabad earlier this week.
Speaking at the event, Maninagar MLA Amul Bhatt appealed to those present to carry out a peaceful protest within the boundaries of the law and seek justice for the 15-year-old deceased student.
Bhatt said, “We are with the public, community and family, there is no doubt in that. I just have one appeal. In this fight for justice, we must make the justice system stronger. If our anger is supplanted by anti-social elements, it will harm us and the society at large. Because maintaining law and order is the duty of the police.”
The BJP leader was referring to the violent protests on August 20, the day that the boy succumbed to his stabbing injuries, when a large number of people barged into the school and vandalised its properties.
“I appeal that we maintain law and order. I am available 24 hours for you. If you need any message that you need to give to the government, education department or Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, we are ready to stand with you. I plead that a true tribute to our son will be to correctly seek justice for him. We stand together and show everyone that this is not a fight that will end in a few days, but one that will continue till our son gets justice.”
