Ahmedabad Crime Branch arrests man with 2 kg ambergris

Police said they are on the look out for two persons, Ganesh Bachhraj Marwadi of Mumbai, who allegedly provided the ambergris to Marwadi.

The arrest was made during a raid conducted by police at Meghaninagar in Ahmedabad based on a tip-off.

The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) of Ahmedabad City Police on Wednesday arrested a man and seized 2 kg ambergris worth around Rs 2 crore from him.

The arrested man has been identified as Raju alias Rajesh Punamchand Marwadi, 43, resident of Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad City and originally from Bikaner in Rajasthan. The arrest was made during a raid conducted by police at Meghaninagar in Ahmedabad based on a tip-off.
