4 held for ‘gangrape, murder’ of 14-yr-old

Four persons, including a minor, were arrested for the “gangrape and murder” of a 14-year-old girl.

Four persons, including a minor, were arrested for the “gangrape and murder” of a 14-year-old girl in Kosamba village of Santrampur taluka of Mahisagar. They were accused of “raping and murdering” the victim and hanging her body from the tree.

Police said that while one accused is a minor, the other three — Aseem Dindor, Prakash Dindor and Vikram Dindor — are between 19-20 years. The arrests came three days after the girl was found hanging from her dupatta on a hillock bordering her village on January 14.
While the murder initially looked like suicide, the statement from the younger sister of the victim revealed that she was allegedly “raped and murdered” by four persons.
