2 stabbed over petty issue,cops son among injured
Two youths one of them the son of senior CID (Crime) officer V V Rabari were allegedly stabbed in a scuffle between two groups of youths while they were dining at the Cama Hotel in Khanpur late on Wednesday.

Two youths one of them the son of senior CID (Crime) officer V V Rabari were allegedly stabbed in a scuffle between two groups of youths while they were dining at the Cama Hotel in Khanpur late on Wednesday. The accused,who are reportedly bootleggers from Shahpur,were arrested on the spot.
The Shahpur police said the victims Jignesh Rabari (36) and Nikhil Desai (35) had come to Cama Hotel for dinner with their other friends,when the accused Chandresh Vyas (41),Vipul Rawal (28) and Abhay Shah (27),all residents of Kuwawadi in Shahpur got into a verbal dual with them.
Inspector M B Nayak of the Shahpur police said: The assailants are bootleggers from Shahpur and were in an inebriated state. Both the groups were sitting facing each other when one of the accused allegedly asked Rabari and his friends why they were staring at them?
He added: The victims told the accused that they were not staring at them. The accused got irked and started abusing Rabari and his friends who also got angry and abused them back. Both the groups came out of the hotel and when Rabari and his friends were about to leave,the accused got into a scuffle with them and stabbed Rabari and Desai in the abdomen.
The police have booked the accused under sections 323,114 and 324 of the Indian Penal Code and taken up further investigations.
