In a setback for the INDIA alliance, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal Saturday declared that his party will announce candidates for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and one Chandigarh parliamentary seat in the coming 10-15 days, and sought peoples' blessing for the victory of his candidates. Kejriwal made the announcement while addressing a gathering in Ludhiana's Khanna, organised for the "doorstep delivery" of ration under the National Food Security Act of the Punjab government. "Two years back, you gave us blessings. You gave 92 out of 117 seats to us (in Assembly elections), you created history in Punjab. I have come to you with folded hands, asking for one more blessing. Lok Sabha elections will be held in two months. For Lok Sabha elections, Punjab has 13 seats and one from Chandigarh - a total of 14 seats. In the next 10-15 days, AAP will declare its candidates in all of these 14 seats," he said. "You have to make AAP sweep all these 14 seats with majority," he added. The Delhi chief minister also praised the Bhagwant Mann government, saying it did a "lot of work" in the past two years. Targeting rival parties in the state, Kejriwal said, "If I ask you today, in 75 years, the Congress ruled for so many years. Tell me one good work the Congress has done. (You) will not remember. If I ask you, Akali Dal ruled for so many years, tell me one good work the Akali Dal has done. (You) will not remember," said Kejriwal as he attacked the rival parties. Last month, Kejriwal has declared that his party will contest all the 90 Assembly seats in Haryana on its own, but will fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state as a part of the Opposition INDIA alliance.
