Adani sets up arm in Kenya for airport business

Adani Enterprises, the flagship company of the Adani group, has established a wholly-owned subsidiary called Airports Infrastructure PLC in Kenya amid local protests. The subsidiary aims to take over, operate, and manage airports, with talks ongoing to invest in the airport business, it said in an exchange filing.

The group is currently in talks to invest in the Nairobi airport. The group currently operates seven airports in India and is set to commission a new airport in Navi Mumbai. If successful, Kenya will be the Adani group’s first international foray in the airport business.

Adanis also incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary namely Adani Energy Resources (Shanghai) Co., Ltd domiciled in Shanghai, China, it said in a filing.
