Sumit Malik to challenge 2-year ban and seek lesser punishment

The 2018 CWG gold medallist Malik was on Friday banned for two years by the sport's world governing body United World Wrestling (UWW) after his B sample also returned positive for a prohibited stimulant.

Malik had secured the 125kg category quota for the Tokyo Olympic during the Olympic Qualifiers, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, last month but was handed suspension for failing his dope test during the same tournament.
