Shilpa Shetty Kundra: From Bollywood Star to Businesswoman and Fitness Icon Shilpa Shetty Kundra, born Ashwini Shetty on June 8, 1975, is a prominent figure in the Indian entertainment industry, transitioning seamlessly from acting to entrepreneurship and fitness advocacy. Her Bollywood journey began with a supporting role in Baazigar (1993), earning her a Filmfare nomination. While she experienced fluctuating success throughout the 1990s, films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994) and Jaanwar (1999) solidified her presence. Dhadkan (2000) marked a turning point, followed by acclaimed performances in Indian (2001), Rishtey (2002), and Phir Milenge (2004), the latter earning her another Filmfare Best Actress nomination for her portrayal of an AIDS patient.
