India, France to discuss counter terrorism mechanism

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): In the wake of horrendous attack in Paris and the recent terrorist attack at the Pathankot air base, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Thursday the cooperation between France and India on matters related to counter terrorism has acquired a very significant dimension, and added that a lot of discussion in this regard is expected during the visit of French President François Hollande. President Hollande will be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations this year. This is the fifth time that a serving President of the French Republic will be the chief guest at the Republic Day function. Vikas Swarup also highlighted the business ties between both nations.

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Asserting that Islamabad was under intense international pressure to hold talks with India, Defence expert P.K. Sehgal on Friday said that people in Pakistan are convinced that their Army and the ISI were involved in the terror attacks in Mazar-e-Sharif and Pathankot air base. Sehgal said that it is good that talks were merely postponed and not cancelled or suspended. He also welcomed External Affairs Ministry’s stance to extend all help to Pakistan's Special Investigation Team when it arrives in India.

Gurdaspur, Jan 13 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday visited Pathankot martyr Subehdar Major Fateh Singh’s family members in Gurdaspur. He said that the country was proud of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He stated the government would extend every kind of help to their families. Subehdar Major Fateh Singh laid down their lives fighting terrorists who had attacked the Pathankot Air Base on the night of January 1.
