His career, spanning over three decades, showcases remarkable versatility. He's directed 16 films and produced 14, in addition to acting in over 70. Parthiban's directorial journey began as an assistant to K. Bhagyaraj, a collaboration that yielded over 20 films between 1984 and 1991. His directorial prowess is evident in critically acclaimed works like Pudhiya Paadhai (1989) and House Full (1999), the latter earning him the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. He further solidified his reputation with Otha Seruppu Size 7 (2019), which garnered him the National Film Award - Special Jury Award. His acting credits include memorable roles in successful films such as Bharathi Kannamma (1997), Nee Varuvai Ena (1999), Vetri Kodi Kattu (2000), Azhagi (2002), Aayirathil Oruvan (2010), Melvilasom (2011), and Iravin Nizhal (2022).
