Anushka Sharma: From Modelling to Bollywood Stardom Anushka Sharma, a prominent figure in Hindi cinema, has carved a successful career spanning acting and production. Born in Ayodhya and raised in Bangalore, Sharma’s journey began with modelling, culminating in her acting debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the blockbuster Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008). Her early success continued with Yash Raj Films' Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), the latter earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Sharma’s versatility is evident in her subsequent roles, showcasing strong-willed characters in films like NH10 (2015), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), and Sui Dhaaga (2018). High-grossing films like Sultan (2016), PK (2014), and Sanju (2018) further cemented her position in Bollywood. Beyond acting, Sharma co-founded Clean Slate Filmz, producing critically acclaimed projects such as NH10, Paatal Lok (2020), and Bulbbul (2020). Married to cricketer Virat Kohli, Sharma maintains a prominent public profile while balancing her professional commitments and family life.
