Amol Kolhe biography

Amol Ramsing Kolhe, also known as Amol Kolhe, is an actor turned political leader and is affiliated with the Nationalist Congress Party (SharadChandra Pawar). He is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Maharashtra’s Shirur Lok Sabha constituency.

He was born on September 18, 1980, in Pune, Maharashtra, and has an MBBS degree from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai.

He started his political career as an election campaigner for Shiv Sena during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. However, he switched his alliance to Nationalist Congress Party (SharadChandra Pawar) in 2019, which led to him contesting and winning the 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Shirur Lok Sabha seat.

He is famous for his roles in Chhatrapati Shivaji in the Marathi TV series Raja Shivchatrapati on Star Pravah, Swarajya Janani Jijamata on Sony Marathi, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji in the Marathi TV series Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji on Zee Marathi. He also portrayed the controversial character of Nathuram Godse in the 2017 movie “Why I Killed Gandhi.”
