
The year started off with quite a controversial film Padmaavat taking the box office by storm. The Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starring magnum opus opened the year with a hope for the trade market which saw a terrible fall in the year of 2017. So far, within last five months, the performances of big budgeted and small budgeted films have been impressive. Here's the list of top five films that crossed Rs 100 crore benchmark at the box office.

Padmaavat: The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was one of the fastest Rs 100 crore earner. Within the end of its first week, the film managed to earn a whopping amount of Rs 166.50 crore at the box office. The film went on to register over Rs 500 crore of lifetime collection at the worldwide box office.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety: After Padmaavat, the Luv Ranjan directorial starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh entered the Rs 100 crore club in the fourth week of its release.

Raid: The Ajay Devgn starrer has earned a lifetime collection of Rs 103.07 crore at the box office.

Baaghi 2: Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani action-drama took the box office by storm once again. The film managed to entertain the audience and minted a total of Rs 164.38 crore.

Raazi: Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal's film has become yet another small budget film to crack the Rs 100 crore benchmark. The film opened its account at a sum of Rs 7.53 crore. It upped its game soon after, riding on positive reviews and good word-of-mouth promotions. Until Sunday it earned Rs 102.50 crore and comtinues to do well even in its third week.
