Samsung Galaxy S8+ has been launched in India at Rs 64,900. The flagship smartphone features a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED quad HD display with a resolution of 2960×1440 pixels and pixel density of 529ppi. Samsung Galaxy S8 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 8895 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. The storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. Samsung Galaxy S8+ runs Android 7.0 Nougat.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ gets a 12 MP rear camera with Dual Pixel technology, OIS and f/1.7 aperture. The front camera is 8MP with Smart auto-focus and f/1.7 aperture. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 30 fps, 1080p HD videos at 30 fps or 60 fps and 720p HD video at 30 fps. Other features of the camera are Pro Mode, Selective Focus, Filtered Moments and a Food Mode. There is a dedicated button below volume rocker keys to launch Samsung’s new voice-assistant ‘Bixby’.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ packs a 3,500mAh battery. It supports USB Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone has an Iris scanner along with a Pressure sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint sensor, Gyro sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Hall sensor, HR sensor, Proximity sensor and RGB Light sensor.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ comes in black, grey and gold colour options. It measures 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm and weighs 155 grams.
