HIT: We loved Jacqueline Fernandez's Karn Malhotra outfit for this TV appearance. The V-neck cut-piece top fits right in with the current trend of wearing cut-works (remember Mandira Bedi recently?) Fernandez teamed that with Louis Vuitton shoes and a Dhishoom ring from Wear Crimson. This was a great and stylish way promoting her upcoming flick. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: Madhuri Dixit Nene is perfect example of actresses ageing gracefully, because she seems to be getting more beautiful by the day. Looking stunning in this Andrew GN gown, the dhak-dhak girl carried off a sophisticated look with minimal jewellery and a classic hairstyle. (Source: Instagram)
HIT: Karishma Tanna was dressed to the nines in this absolutely beautiful silver net lehenga ensemble with silver embellishments. The sheer high neckline with a choker collar gave the attire a gorgeous look without being overwhelming. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
MISS: Parineeti Chopra has actually been a photographer's delight these past few months, but in this one instance, the actress' choice of an Adidas top with a pair of distressed jeans, just looks off. But what carries her through is her great attitude, so overall, effect isn't all that bad. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: Nothing wrong with this cute little number on Parineeti Chopra at the launch of Sania Mirza's book Ace Against Odds. The white Gauri and Nainika knee-length dress looks lovely on Chopra's petite frame, and especially the flared cuff at the end the sleeves. We love those Aldo shoes that her stylist Sanjana Batra has chosen to pair with it. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: Mohenjo Daro actress Pooja Hegde looked ethereal in this Roland Mouret gown at a film promotion. The ensemble has a lovely summer feel to it, while being in-sync with the character of her upcoming movie. (Source: APH Images)
HIT: Yami Gautam looks pretty in pink in this lovely lehenga by Anita Dongre. Photographed at the pre-event of the Vogue Wedding Show that's scheduled for later this year. We particularly loved the gold gota work on the lehenga and the variation in patterns that made the outfit look delicate and not overwhelming, like traditional bridal wear does. MISS: As much as we love ace tennis player Sania Mirza's dressing sense off-court, this is one time she missed the ball. We somewhat like the skirt on this black-and-green dress, but the top half simply makes it look as if Mirza wasn't comfortable at all. The mismatched jewellery and harsh make-up didn't help matters at all, stylistically speaking, that is. (Source: APH Images)
HIT and MISS: Sunny Leone is usually on point with her sartorial choices, but this week she seemed to have mixed it up a bit. While we love the red and maroon dress with the very modern pleated embellishment, her black, cut-work dress - though more in vogue - definitely did not work. In the first, the less is more concept really gives the actress a lovely silhouette, while in the second, the series of gold eyelet buttonholes - reminiscent of a sail - is very hard to get over. HIT: We know perfectionist Aamir Khan likes to change things up to get into character with his films, but this is one time that Khan went for nerdy chic at the announcement of the GQ 50 Most Influential Young Indians in Delhi. Dressed in single-button suit paired with a thin dark grey tie, Khan looked absolutely smashing, but what really took the cherry were those cherry-red glasses. Those red frames give him a radical nerd look that we could really get used to. (Source: APH Images)
HIT: Anil Kapoor got a second life with Slumdog Millionaire and ever since, he's been on a roll; probably taking fashion tips from his daughter Sonam - the Bollywood fashionista - because he's pretty much been on-point, stylistically every time over the past couple of years. This time was no different. Hair brushed back, a dark blue two-buttoned jacket paired with a pair of tan trousers look absolutely classy, chic. Mr India has his look pat down perfectly, right up to the polka-dotted pocket kerchief. (Source: APH Images)
MISS: Bipasha Basu, who usually doesn't miss when it comes to fashion, didn't quite deliver at the store opening of Innisfree in Mumbai this past week. Though the halter neck dress, criss-crossed across the high waistline, is actually quite pretty, but the pale green colour just didn't flatter the actress. Even the hair, which dropped down in ringlets, looked a bit off. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: TV actress Digangana Suryavanshi's black-and-white here is a perfect example of when the simplest of things work really well. The plain black top and skirt ensemble is really elevated with that pretty short poncho-like lace throw, which the Bigg Boss 9 contestant teamed with silver floral jewellery. Deep red lipstick, a flowing mane and you have casual chic personified. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: Irrfan Khan is a rockstar on his own terms in the film fraternity, and here he is putting his own personal spin with that sea blue-green kurta with the interesting flowing, extended shawl draped around him. If there is one thing that we would change, that would be the black chappals, trading them for beige or tan ones. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: Actress Jacqueline Fernandez looks gorgeous in this grey asymmetrical top and pants, that she teamed with a spunky pair of red-and-grey polka-dotted stilletos at a promotional event of her next film Dishoom. The asymmetrical, one-shouldered top with a spaghetti strap and the sparkling embellishments look gorgeous on her lean frame. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: Malaika Arora Khan looks lovely in this lilac halter gown with a fish flare at the bottom. The colour and purple embroidery gives the dress a very princess-like feel and look. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: TV show host and actress Mandira Bedi is rocking this cut-work one-piece ensemble with a front slit that gives a great flared look. There is absolutely nothing that we'd change here. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT & MISS: Everything about Quantico star Priyanks Chopra's green, shell-inspired dress is great, till you look down to the shoes. Nope... with what looks like the feet have been smushed into those pointy heels, the feet look very awkward and inelegant. (Source: APH Images)
HIT & MISS: Priyanka Chopra seems to be having a lukewarm week when it comes to her sartorial choices. We love that she's teamed that stunning kundan necklace with this Western-ethnic white shirt with a traditional yellow skirt. While the colours were great, and the jewellery worked, the fit on Chopra just didn't. (Source: APH Images)
MISS: There is no way we can explain Rakhi Sawant's decision to choose any or all of these different elements here, so we won't even try. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
HIT: Sakshi Tanwar looks absolutely lovely in this white chicken kurta that she's teamed with an indigo long jacket. It's such a summery, fresh look that complements the actress' smile and the antique oxidised silver jhumkas. (Source: APH Images)
