Aishwarya, Sonam, Shilpa: Fashion hits and misses of the week (May 15 – May 21)

Hit: Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor was spotted in a Ralph and Russo gown for her last formal appearance at the amfAR Gala. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the 30-year-old actress looked lovely in the gold-embroidered gown. What was interesting, though, was that Sonam paired the off-shoulder dress with a pair of big golden jhumkas. Nice way of bringing in some desi glam to her look. (Photo: Instagram)

Miss: Wearing an Azzi & Osta gown, Richa Chadha attended the premiere of her movie Sarabjit. We love how she styled her hair in soft curls but other than that there's nothing much we like here. Shilpa Shetty was seen in a Karan Malhotra jumpsuit to attend a press meet for IIFA 2016. She finished out her look with Bvlgari serpent watch, a Maharani monogrammed Isharya clutch and leopard print Dolce and Gabbana sandals. Hit: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is undeniably the most sought-after and photographed Bollywood celebrity at Cannes each year. And why not! At her third appearance this time, Aishwarya looked stunning in an embellished pink-gold Elie Saab gown, turning heads on the red carpet while attending the premiere of Steven Spielberg's The BFG. The Sarbjit actress paired the gown with rose gold jewellery from Boucheron, Ferragamo shoes and a Pure Brick lip shade from the L’Oréal Paris Pure Reds collection, her hair done in a classic old Hollywood style. HIt: White seems to be Sonam Kapoor's go-to colour for evening events. She looked ravishing in a white ensemble by Ralph and Russo. The exclusive column gown by the British couture house brought out the Bollywood fashionista's stunning silhouette, ending in a short train. The floral netted long cape gave the whole ensemble a very delicate touch. She paired the gown with a pair of Ferragamo stilletos, and some bling on her fingers.
