Skype Meetings will allow conference call even without Office 365 subscription
Microsoft has announced the introduction of free Skype Meetings – an online tool that will enable small businesses to hold HD video conferencing on its Office Blogs.
Skype Meetings will give the users ability to share screens over the conference calls. Different participants can join in on a Skype meeting using a personalised URL that can be quickly set up for a conference call.
Over the duration of the call, participants can also message one another, share PowerPoint presentations and share their screens. The new feature also has a laser pointer and whiteboard function to add productivity and make the presentation more engaging.
It will be extremely easy to set up a quick meeting
Since Skype is available over a large range of devices, a user will be able to join a conference from virtually any place that allows him/her to access the Internet.
The organiser of the Skype Meeting has the ability to mute out the audience during presentations. Anyone in the US who has a business email address will be able to conduct Skype Meetings, even if they don’t already have Office 365. After signing up with Skype, a user will be able to set up meetings with up to 10 people for a period of 60 days and no more than 3 people thereafter.
