5– The total number of stumpings this World Cup. Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara leads this relatively small group with 2 stumpings.

311– The total number of catches taken during the World Cup, but more important is the fact that 76 catches have been dropped in the same period.

21– The total number of run outs that the World Cup down under has seen, 52% of these have been direct hits. So it does pay to go for the stumps.

3989– Total number of runs scored during Power play overs, the average run rate for these overs stands at a meagre 4.7 rpo. Quite modest for a period where the batsmen are supposed to be at an advantage.

51– Total number of batsmen dismissed on ducks. Mitchell Starc stands responsible for 5 batsmen sent packing without a run on the board.
