Members of two communities clashed in Pachora town of Jalgaon district leading to loss of property and destruction of shops in the locality.
Tension had been simmering in the town after a fight broke out between a Muslim boy and a group of Hindu youths Wednesday evening near the Athavade Bazaar area from where members of both communities do their shopping. “A Muslim boy was beaten up Wednesday evening and there had been tension in the area after which certain people were booked. In the morning, a Hindu boy was assaulted leading to more tension,” Jalgaon SP Dr Jalindar Supekar told The Indian Express.Supkear said people from both communities confronted each other following the incident and were dispersed by the police.
