One arrested in Delhi for having Udta Punjab leaked copy on his website

An officer said Kumar was the owner of the website allzmovies.in where Udta Punjab had been uploaded in the form of a torrent. Several people had downloaded the movie from this website before the movie was released last Friday.

Explaining the development, an officer said during the initial probe, they found that the movie had been leaded on two separate links of torrent.com.

The police later found that the movie had been been uploaded on torrent.com by an user identified as ‘robby007’. The police further found that the first public copy of the torrent had been uploaded on allzmovies.in from where others downloaded it.

“It is next to impossible to find out who uploaded the torrent as it is not done through a particular Internet Protocol (IP) address. Hence, we started looking for the website where the torrent had been uploaded and found Kumar,” the officer said.

He added that they are hoping the interrogation of the accused will help them find out if he has any information about who uploaded the torrent in the first place.
