More than 100 lawyers marched from the Supreme Court to Bar Council of India Wednesday, demanding “strict and time bound action” against the lawyers who assaulted JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar and journalists on Patiala House Courts premises.

Marching under a banner of “Lawyers for Democracy and Justice”, the lawyers urged the council to punish those found guilty within two months and ensure that “democratic space and right to access to justice is not curtailed in any manner”.
