On the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, PM Narendra Modi on Friday met Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold bilateral talks in Tashkent.

Both the leaders discussed furthering of cooperation in space, trade and investment sectors.
Matters relating to cooperation in civil nuclear energy and partnership in gas and petrochemicals sector also came up during the meet.

Modi is on a two-day visit to attend the annual summit of the SCO with an aim to expand India’s engagement with the China-dominated grouping in areas of security, defence and energy.
