Ganesh Chaturthi, the 10-day festival to celebrate the favourite elephant god of the Hindus, commenced on Thursday with pandals springing up across the country. Millions of devout Hindus are celebrating the festivals also in their homes.
The festivities will go on till September 27.
From today we bring you a live stream of the celebrations at Lalbaugcha Raja, the largest of the Ganesh Pandals in Mumbai which is undoubtedly the hub of celebrations in the country.

For the first time this year, the entire immersion route of the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati, which is also used by numerous other Ganeshotsav mandals in south and central Mumbai, will be under complete CCTV camera coverage, while routes taken by several other major immersion processions will also be sanitised by the police and watched closely.
