FYJC admissions: One more round to go, top colleges almost full

“Following minority quota seats and online process almost 80-85 per cent admissions in our college are confirmed. However, post second round, it is likely that some students may cancel admissions in our college and secure seats elsewhere,” said Kiran Mangaonkar, principal of G N Khalsa College.

This is the scenario at most of the top colleges as students do not list lesser known colleges in their option form. Therefore, maximum seats in these lesser known colleges are vacant.

College principals say that commerce is in demand this year, so much so that the cut off marks of commerce is almost similar to science.
Bhavana Vaidya, senior vice-principal of Saraf College said, “The trend is in favor of commerce.”
