At the launch of mintageworld.com, India’s first online numismatics, notaphily and plilately museum, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Saturday said, “Ancient coins, notes and stamps give us a glimpse of our past heritage.”

The online museum is aimed at preserving Indian culture and history and creating interest in culture among young people, including students, dealers and buyers. The museum will be a one-stop shop for information on stamps, coins, currency notes across the world, online storage of rare coins, stamps, note images as well as national events and seminar on the issue.

“We often dismiss interest in coins, stamps etc as a hobby only to be pursued by children. Once we grow up, we tend to get rid of our collection. However, all of those should be preserved,” he said.
