Ex-CMO man Anil Mukim is principal secy (revenue)

Anil Mukim,one of Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s trusted bureaucrats,was appointed principal secretary of revenue department

Anil Mukim,one of Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s trusted bureaucrats,was appointed principal secretary of revenue department Tuesday,two months after being repatriated from the central deputation during which he worked as a joint secretary in the ministry of commerce and industry.

Mukim will replace D J Pandiyan,principal secretary at the energy and petrochemicals department who was holding the additional charge of revenue.

Mukim has earlier served as additional principal secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office.

The 1985-batch IAS officer had defended Modi during his deposition before Nanavati Commission,saying that suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt was not present at the February 27,2002,meeting called by CM. Bhatt had alleged that Modi had instructed officials in the meeting to let hindus vent their anger.

Mukim will now work with Revenue Minister Anandi Patel.
